DCU Fashion show - What's in a year?

As the DCU Fashion Show 2009 hurtles towards us, I've decided it would be a good idea to upload some of my photos from last years show. I hope to wrangle a press pass for this years show, so watch out for photos on this blog after April 1st.

Dingle Harbour

A quick snap of the boats in dingle harbour. I love how blue the rust on the boat tie is. Just after I took this photo the heavens opened and I (and camera) got very VERY wet!

DCU Prospectus Photoshoot

So a little while ago, when I was working for Student Affairs in DCU, I got involved in a few publicity projects for the university.

The following are a few studio shots I took for the A-Z guide to DCU. These are just 3 images from a roll of about 250. Thanks to John, Tamara, Eimear, Dave & Deirdre who volunteered to get in front of the lens for the shoot.

Walking In The Air: the amazing art of Li Wei

Artist Li Wei uses a series of mirrors and thin wires to compose these interesting and gravity defying images. His work is a mixture of performance art and photography that creates illusions of a sometimes dangerous reality.

Li Wei states that these images are not computer montages and works with the help of props. He also jumps into the odd one himself to show off his years of Marshall arts training. Check out his website here

Morocco

Some shots from a recent trip to Morocco. Hoped that I'd get a few more than I did, but morocco has 360 days of sunshine per year and it seemed I was there for the other 5!
Feedback appreciated.

Urban Hypocrisy

The following are a number of shots I took recently in Ballymun, around the theme of Hypocrisy in an Urban jungle. I hope you like them. The Idea is supposed to represent upper class wealth vs. urban decay.
