my photo used in Stellar Magazine.
There's not really much to tell really.
Roisin wrote an article for Stellar, I took the accompanying picture.
The results are below, check it out.

"I'm not a stranger! I work on the street!"
Probably one of the funniest weekends of the summer!
For 4 days this weekend Merrion Square in Dublin was alive with the best of the world's contortionists, piano jugglers, magicians, break-dancers, professional street performers and jesters as they competed for the most coveted title in street performance theatre. The AIB Street Performance World Champion.

When I was in AFRICA
Africa Day in the Iveagh Gardens. The weather was amazing, the atmosphere was electric and the music included performances from Cathy Davey, The Republic of Loose, Paddy Casey, Jape, Kila and many more. It was an incredible Sunday in Dublin. Here's some pics . . .

Beauty in the boring.
Out of pure boredom I took a walk around my apartment complex this afternoon to see if I could see anything of interest to photograph. Of course there wasn't really anything, but I got this snap outside costa coffee. I think the colours and light in it are quite interesting. Let me know what you think.

Boffin - A great weekend on an Island.
For the bank holiday weekend just passed I headed with some friends to Inishboffin for the weekend. The island is located off the coast of Galway. It was a weekend filled with random fun, sheep, chickens, black & white movies vs. lesbians and the election of an 'Island Queen'. Here's a few photos to document the occasion.

Painting with Natural light
Nothing really compares with daylight. It has a quality of it's own. Natural light has a quality that can never be replicated in any studio and I just love the way it flows over skin. I've come to think of my apartment window as a studio light. (except I can't pick it up and move it around). The light coming into the apartment today seemed especially nice so I couldn't resist snapping a few portraits of Roisin as she sat in the sunshine.

What's HDRi photography?
If you have ever photographed a high contrast scene, you know that even the best exposure will typically have blown out highlights and flat shadows. HDRi (High Dynamic Range imaging) photography aims to combat that. By taking 3 photos (1 correctly exposed, 1 a stop under and 1 a stop over) you can combine the shadows, highlights and midtones (the best bits) of all three. So with that in mind I ventured the 3 or 4 feet to my balcony to give it a shot. Here's what I came up with . . .
Oh, It's probably a good idea to include the 3 original shots so you can see the difference.

Spring in Co. Monaghan
I had forgotten how teaming with life and beautiful rural Monaghan is around this time of year, but when I was at home this weekend and looking for an excuse to try out my new Canon Ef 24-105 IS lens (a birthday present to myself) I was quickly reminded. Here's a few shots I captured over the Easter weekend. I particularly like the one with the Bumble Bee. Enjoy...

'Cirque Du Couture' - The DCU Fashion Show 09
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending the 4th annual DCU Fashion Show in the Helix on the Dublin City University campus. The show was an amazing event. Cirque Du Couture’ was the theme of this year’s show and was a combination of fashion and fantasy. The styling and performances took you on a journey where nothing was as it seemed. Through theatrical performances and a stunning backdrop, this year’s show was an unforgettable experience. Here's a selection of my pictures from the night. G
